Competition entry for new-build housing opportunity in Maidenhead, Berkshire - organised by leading housing association.  Proposal was for a development to unlock the potential of this site at a the edge of the town centre, immediately neighbouring parkland to the south.  Orientation and massing strategies determined linear 'fingers' with cluster access to allow for dual aspect for all dwellings.  A mix of affordable, private rental and for-sale was proposed to ensure releasing social and investment value.

Form and materials were guided, firstly, by the target of sustainable construction to a workable budget.  Simple repeating elements to maximise the possibilities of ‘innovative methods of construction’ (IMC) were proposed, carefully sewn together to create confident and contemporary forms.
